Attach your support to the wall. The easiest way to do this is get your curtain rods in place, with the connector bent in the middle.The corner will be a little floppy right now…that’s ok. Bend the curtain rod connector to create a 90 degree angle. Connect Rods and Connector Screw all the pieces together, connector in the middle between the two rods, to create one continuous pole that bends in the middle.Measure and mark where you’d like your end brackets, being sure they are level. This will be a little bit harder because they are on different walls…take your time! When you’re sure you have your marks where you want them to be, attach the end brackets to the wall.Basic curtain rod hanging tools This will more than likely include a drill, a hammer, a level, measuring tape or ruler, and a pencil!.This will help make the transition from rod to connector, and then back to rod nice and smooth! Remember, when you order yours, match up the size of your connector with the size of your curtain rod. Curtain Rod Connectors I needed two connectors for this set up…one for the each side of the fireplace.I liked the look of these curtains on the rings, but if you prefer a curtain with grommets or a curtain with a rod pocket, go for it!

Drapery Rings This is absolutely a style choice…not a requirement.The panel in the center here is key! Not only does it hide my curtain rod connector and support, but it creates the illusion that the window literally goes around the corner.

Any curtains you pic for this project will work perfectly! If you’re going for the same look I have here, there are three panels on each side…six total. I’m sorry!! But honestly, there’s nothing special about them.

  • Curtains Bad news here…I got these on clearance and they are no longer available.
  • They are the same rods I used in my kitchen, just singles…no need for both drapes and sheers in this room! For this room, I needed to order four sets…two rods for each side.
  • Curtain Rods I found these rods here from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
  • Just like in Part 1 of this series, you may be able to use curtain rods you already have! Add some connectors and give them a whole new look! Here are links to everything I used the for this project.

    I loved the idea of corner curtain rods in this room, but I didn’t love the selection I could find (or their price point.) I kept looking up at the rods I had just put up in my kitchen…and realized that once again, I could make them work, with the help of the connectors.Īs always, you will find a full supply list below, a detailed tutorial, and links (sometimes affiliate) to products I used. So once again, these little guys are going to make a big difference. It can be kept straight (like in my kitchen, where I used them to create the look of one continuous curtain rod), or it can bend…that’s how we’re going to use it today!
